Individual history: Only Daughter

Family history:

Parents don’t live together. Both parents are in medical profession. Sirisha was born after 10 years. Sirisha lives with her Father and relatives in Chennai. Mother lives in Vellore.

Sirisha’ s parents don’t have a good understanding. Her mother was very protective and took care of her studies till 10th Standard. During her 10th Exams, her mother had a cardiac problem and Sirisha was left alone. Until her mother was fine, Sirisha used to make notes and study well. After health issues, she couldn’t assist her any longer and Sirisha had to shift to her father’s place.

Observations:

• Since Sirisha was living in a protective environment, and her Mother used to do everything for her until her 10th class, once her mother fell ill, she couldn’t cope up with her studies without her mother’s help and guidance.
• The parents were very controlling and protective.
• Mother is a Doctor and she always wished that Sirisha also become a Doctor whereas Sirisha was interested in cinematography.

Impressions:

• Sirisha was emotionally disturbed, as she failed in Maths.
• She had power struggles against her parents.
• Was not able to cope as she was not used of studying by her own.

Approaches:

• Sirisha was made to love herself.
• Sirisha was given confidence through Neuro linguistic programming.
• Her mind was programmed towards success by eliminating her fear in Maths through hypnosis.
